AG welcomes email probe
Trinidad and Tobago's Attorney General, Anand Ramlogan, has welcomed the decision of the Director of Public Prosecutions Roger Gaspard to back a foreign forensic investigation to determine the veracity of the emails presented by Opposition Leader Dr Keith Rowley in the Parliament recently.
Rowley presented the emails while piloting a no-confidence motion in Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar in Parliament last Monday.
The emails suggested a conspiracy to murder a reporter, perverting the course of justice and to illegally wire-tap the Office of the DPP.
The emails suggested involvement of the Prime Minister, Attorney General, Local Government Minister and the Prime Minsiter's security adviser.
