The Haitian Government has banned meat products, poultry and eggs from the Dominican Republic following a reappearance of the Avian Flu (HINI Virus).
The Ministry of Public Health and Population in Dominica says persons passing through the Haitian Dominican border, importers and retailers that distribute meat products are currently being prohibited until further notice.
The ban is to take effect immediately as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of the virus.
So far no reports have been made on an outbreak in Haiti.
