10 declared for Superstakes
Ten horses have been declared for the 30th running of the Superstakes which will be run over 2000 metres at Caymanas Park on Saturday.
The race has been billed as the battle of the sexes between the outstanding three-year-old filly ALSAFRA, to be ridden by Trinidadian Brian Harding for trainer Fitznahum Williams, and her older brother, MAJOR MAYER, with customary pilot Richard Mitchell riding for trainer Michael McIntosh.
Both are on course for ‘Horse of the Year’ honours and victory for either in this championship race should seal the award.
Trainer Anthony Nunes holds a strong hand with the pair of AD INFINITUM with Dane Nelson and IT IS I with visiting Jamaican jockey Andrew Ramgeet.
IL CAIMANO, AGUILA, REGAL SELECTION, PRIME MINISTER, RUM TALK and ACCOMPONG complete the field.
