Nashel Graham, Gleaner Writer
The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has given the Haitian government a US$15 million dollar grant to support policy, legal and institutional restructuring of the agriculture sector.
The IDB say the grant is the second in a string of actions taken to provide budgetary support to the Haitian government.
It says the funding is also expected to help Haiti's Ministry of agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development in efforts to transform its animal and plant services.
In total, the IDB is making a financial investment of US$200 million into the agricultural sector for further development.
