Jamaica/T&T face off
Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago will face off tonight at 7 p.m. in the opening match of the National Commercial Bank Sunshine Savers tri-nation netball series.
The series, which also involved highly ranked South Africa, will take place at the National Indoor Sports Centre.
The Jamaican team, which will be captained by goal attack Simone Forbes, includes four members of the Under-21 squad, which is currently preparing for the World Youth Netball Championships to be held in Cook Islands next year.
They are Christina Solmon, Vanessa Walker, Sateya Taylor and Malysha Kelly.
Also included is the country’s top goal shooter in Romelda Aikens, who recently had a stint in New Zealand with the Queensland Firebirds.
Rhonda John-Davis, a center-court player will lead T&T, which is currently ranked eighth in the world.
The two teams with the best record following the round robin phase will compete in the final on November 13.
