The main opposition United Workers Party in Dominica has elected talk show host Lennox Linton as its new leader.

Former Prime Minister Edison James said that the party had already selected a significant number of its candidates for the elections.
In the December 2009 general elections Skerrit’s Dominica Labour Party won 18 of the 21 seats.
