Panama Costa Rica earthquake

A powerful earthquake has struck south-western Panama, close to the border with Costa Rica.



The quake is reported with a magnitude of 6.2 and is said to have happened at a depth of 30 miles.



The United States Geological Survey said the earthquake’s epicentre was close to the Pacific coast 35 miles from Panama\'s third-largest city, David.



There have been no reports of any injuries or casualties.



The tremors were also felt in the Costa Rican capital San Jose, but authorities there have received no reports of damage.
