Dominican minister fired

Dominica\'s Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has fired Public Utilities Minister Ambrose George from his cabinet.



George had reportedly been under pressure to resign over allegations that he was caught up in an internet scam.



Skerrit said the country needs to adhere to acceptable standards of governance.



Meanwhile, the prime minister has brought in retired principal Sonia Williams as education minister to replace Vince Henderson who is the new foreign minister.
