Trinidad advance to Group of Six

Trinidad and Tobago progressed to the CONCACAF Finals of World Cup qualifying by beating Cuba 3-nil last night in Port-of-Spain.



Trinidad needed only a draw to join the United States as qualifiers from Group One, but Kenwyne Jones and Dwight Yorke scored in a two-minute span of the second half to put the host country in charge.



Keon Daniel scored a late goal to send the fans home happy from the Hasely Crawford Stadium.



In the Group other game last night, the United States defeated visitors Guatemala 2-nil.
