Woman in US Capitol car chase killed by police

WASHINGTON (AP):
The woman who attempted to ram through a White House barricade at the US Capitol today, was shot and killed by police.
A young child was inside the car.
She attempted to ram through a White House barricade, then led police on a chase toward the Capitol, where police shot and killed her, witnesses and officials said.
Tourists watched the shooting unfold outside the Capitol as lawmakers inside debated how to end a government shutdown.
Police quickly locked down the entire complex temporarily, and both houses of Congress went into recess.
