Antiguan police probe theft as Broadcasting Service workers protest

The police are investigating the disappearance of equipment from the state-owned Antigua and Barbuda Broadcasting Service even as workers continue their industrial action for increased salaries and payment of arrears.
The Antigua Trades and Labour Union says the workers who have taken industrial action since last week, had been informing the union about the police investigation.
A spokesperson says he hopes none of the workers are involved in the removal of the equipment.
However, he says he is concerned that the matter could be a ploy to tarnish the character of the workers.
