While Belize and Guatemala are yet to resolve their border dispute, the two countries have reached agreement on prohibiting illegal logging and the trade in rosewood.
Both countries in the past have accused loggers from each other country of encroaching upon their land and engaging in illegal operations.
Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Alexis Rosado, said that a cooperative agreement has been established among forestry officials between Belize and Guatemala to monitor the situation.
