A plane with at least 11 people on board has gone missing after leaving the Dominican Republic.
Officials say the plane, en route to the Turks and Caicos Islands, sent an emergency signal before disappearing from radar 35 minutes after take-off.
Director of the Dominican Civil Aviation Institute, Jose Tomas Perez, said the US Coast Guard is helping in the search.
The plane, which belongs to the Atlantis Airlines, took off yesterday for a flight expected to be about 90 minutes.
