JHF selects women’s senior team

The Jamaica Hockey Federation has selected a 16-member senior women squad to participate in the third Pan American Cup in Hamilton, Bermuda from February 6 to 15.



Jamaica have been drawn in Pool ‘B’ with the United States, Trinidad and Tobago and Chile.



The squad includes 10 members of the 2007 Caribbean Cup silver medal team and four new players including Sasha-Gale Thomas of Excelsior.



The other new players are Suwana Gordon, Camille Robinson and goalkeeper Pikeshia Powell.



Meanwhile, four members of the squad selected have been refused United States visas. And another four players will visit the United States Embassy next month for interviews.



The team is scheduled to travel through the United States on their way to Bermuda.
