LIAT flight delays

Liat says its regional flights are being delayed because of continuing action by air traffic controllers in Antigua.

The airline says officials at the VC Bird International Airport in Antigua were allowing no more than one plane to land every 20 minutes, and several Liat flights have experienced severe delays as a result.

A Liat statement also referred to the possibility of flights being cancelled because the Antigua and Barbuda Airports Authority is installing a new stand-by generator and is closing the airport to facilitate this.
