Air traffic restrictions lifted

The air traffic restrictions that were put in place in Antigua last month have been lifted.
The system described as a flow control restriction, was implemented by Antiguan air traffic controllers.
For the past three weeks, regional and international airlines have been experiencing long delays and even cancellations because of the action imposed during one of the busiest periods.
The air traffic controllers said it was coincidental that the restrictions came at the same time they were pressuring the government to look into their grievances.
LIAT, the regional carrier, and WINAIR, another small inter-island carrier, both experienced significant loss of revenue and disruption to their services.
