Douglas Forest Meet set for January 17

The second track meet for the 2009 season, the Douglas Forrest Invitational, will take place on Saturday, January 17 at the National Stadium East field.
The fifth staging of the event was launched earlier today at Alhambra Inn in Kingston.
The meet has so far attracted 12 sponsors with Jamaica Money Market Brokers committing $80,000.
Special guest this year will be Jim Hines, the 1996 Olympic 100-metre gold medalist and the first man to break the 10 seconds barrier over the distance.
