St Kitts and Nevis is the latest Caribbean country to turn to international sources for help in combating rising violent crime.

The Prime Minister, Denzil Douglas said the government has engaged a former assistant director of the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) to help the police and defence force in developing crime prevention policies.

Dr. Douglas, who is also the minister of national security, says the decision already has the support of local forces.
