Cuba against black market

Authorities in Cuba said they have shut down more than 400 buildings used in the black market trade over the past five months.

Cuban media said the action was part of a campaign against the black market.

Media reports said Cuba’s black market is critical to the everyday lives of Cubans as they struggle for goods they have a hard time affording.

The black market in Cuba is said to be stocked by theft from stores, warehouses and factories all of which are in state hands.
