Modest growth for St Vincent

St Vincent and the Grenadines Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves is reporting that growth in the country’s economy slowed sharply last year.



This follows a robust performance in 2006 and 2007 when the economy expanded by about seven percent in each year.



However last year that figure was reportedly down to roughly two percent.



But Dr Gonsalves says there had been a narrowing of the gap between revenue and expenditure.
