West Indies women’s coach Sherwin Campbell said he will pay strict attention to the team’s batting during a 10-day World Cup preparation camp that starts today in Barbados.

The former West Indies opener was not satisfied with the team’s batting on their Sri Lanka tour last November.

He wants to upgrade that area of their game ahead of the Women’s Cricket World Cup in March.

At the end of the camp, a squad of 15 will be named to represent the Caribbean side at the March 7 to 22 Cricket World Cup in Australia.

The Windies women have been drawn in Pool ‘A’ alongside defending champions Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
