England, leading St Kitts and Nevis by 173 runs, reached 118 without loss in their second innings at the close on the second day of their three-day tour match at Warner Park in St Kitts.
Andrew Strauss 59 and Alastair Cook 50 are the batsmen at the crease.
Earlier, St Kitts and Nevis, responding to England’s 424 for eight declared overnight, were bowled out for 251.
Codville Rogers top scored for St Kitts and Nevis with 63 against the bowling of Monty Panesar four for 53, Stuart Broad two for 26 and James Anderson two for 48.
Joel Simmonds chipped in with 48, Akito Willett scored 36 and Shane Jeffers got 27.
Meanwhile, England all rounder Andrew Flintoff is scheduled to do a scan on his left side after being withdrawn from the warn-up match. He has been joined on the sidelines by the first-day centurion Owais Shah, who sustained a scratched cornea.
England are preparing for the opening Test against the West Indies, starting in Jamaica on February 4.
