Boys’ Town beat Portmore United

Boys’ Town turned back defending champions Portmore United 2-1 in their crucial Digicel Premier League game at Collie Smith Drive yesterday to stay on course to qualify for the end-of-second-round final.



With only the final round remaining only one place is available as Portmore United secured the first spot on Sunday with a 2-0 victory over Tivoli Gardens.



Portmore lead the second round standing with an unassailable 23 points, three ahead of second-place Boys’ Town on 20.



Tivoli Gardens are joint third with Arnett Gardens following a 4-1 victory over Sporting Central Academy at Edward Seaga Sports Complex. Both teams have tallied 17 points.



Arnett Gardens dropped two crucial points following a 1-1 draw with Village United at Elliston Wakeland Centre.



St Georges defeated Reno 1-0 at Frome Sports Club, while Rivoli United and Meadhaven United played to a goalless draw at Prison Oval in Spanish Town.
