Eight West Indies players will be considered for the second auction for the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The West Indies players are Sylvester Joseph, Darren Sammy, Andre Fletcher, Kieron Pollard, Kieran Powell, Fidel Edwards, Dwayne Smith and Kemar Roach.

The Caribbean cricketers are among 112 overseas players who will be on action.

Not surprisingly, Australians dominate the list with 27 players.

Each franchise has a maximum of two million US dollars to spend on their overseas signings in the auction.

The auction is set to take place in Goa on February 6 ahead of the Twenty/Twenty tournament, which runs from April 10 to May 29.

India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who played in the 2008 IPL, currently holds the record having cost Chennai Super Kings, 1 point 5 million dollars last year.
