Sri Lanka spinner Muttiah Muralitharan equalled the record for the highest number of one-day international wickets in the third One Day International with India in Colombo.
The 36 year old, in his 327th match, dismissed centurion Yuvraj Singh to join Pakistan all-rounder Wasim Akram, who took 502 wickets in 356 matches.
Muralitharan is already way ahead as the leading wicket-taker in Test cricket, with 769 from 125 matches.
India won the match by defeating Sri Lanka by 147 runs to take an unassailable 3-nil lead in the series.
India batted first and posted 363 for five with Yuvraj Singh scoring 117, Virender Sehwag 116.
Sri Lanka were then bowled out for 216 in 41 point 4 overs.
