West Indies, England face off

West Indies skipper Chris Gayle said his team is on the improve going against England in the four-Test series, which starts tomorrow at Sabina Park in Jamaica.

The Caribbean side comes into the series following its drawn two-Test series in New Zealand last December.

But Gayle is expecting a much tougher series against England.

The host has one setback.

Opening batsman Dale Richards, who was expected to make his debut tomorrow, has failed to recover from a blow to his right foot more than a week ago in the regional championships.

Coach John Dyson said Richards’ foot was still swollen this morning.

England captain Andrew Strauss said he is expecting a good opening contest based on the wicket at Sabina Park.
