The man held in connection with the murder of Australian boat captain, Drew Gollan in Antigua has been denied bail.

A hearing has been set for May, to determine if there is enough evidence to charge Sylvester Lindsey, 21, for the Australian’s murder.

Authorities in St John\'s have not disclosed the alleged motive for the killing.

Gollan, 38, and his girlfriend were attacked on January 22 as they walked through a dockyard area near English Harbor with their daughter.

Gollan was shot in the chest while his girlfriend was wounded in the foot.
