Pakistan to play Australia

Pakistan will play five one-day internationals and a Twenty/Twenty game against Australia in the United Arab Emirates in April.

Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Ijaz Butt said Cricket Australia was ready to play the matches in Pakistan but the Australian government was not comfortable with the players traveling because of some security issues.

Security concerns after a series of bombings kept Pakistan from hosting any tests last year.

The five one-day internationals will be played in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, starting from the third week of April.

Pakistan will tour Bangladesh next month for a five-match one-day international series and two Twenty/Twenty internationals.

Pakistan will start the tour with Twenty/Twenty matches on March 10 and 12 in the capital Dhaka.
