Obama on stimulus plan

US President Barack Obama has again warned that any further delays in the passing of the economic stimulus plan will lead to deepening disaster.
The House of Representatives has approved the plan.
But the Senate is expected to give its approval tomorrow.
The president has been pushing hard for the speedy approval of his plan, which is worth more than 800 billion dollars.
The version approved by the House of Representatives now differs from that being discussed in the Senate, and the two chambers will have to agree on a single final version.
US lawmakers will have to combine the two bills and have the finished version ready by the president\'s deadline of February 16.
