Papine defeat Mona High
Papine High defeated Mona High 2-0 yesterday at the Mona turf to register their first victory in the Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association/ Jamaica Hockey Federation Under-19 competition.
Following the victory, Papine have now moved to second place in Group ‘B’ of the boys’ section with four points, two behind leaders Wolmer’s.
Jamaica College and Kingston College are joint third with two points after playing to a goalless draw.
In the girls’ section, Excelsior and St Hughs played to a goalless draw in their Zone ‘A’ game.
Excelsior have now moved to second place on four points, two behind leaders St Andrew High. St. Hughs are in third place with a point.
The competition continues this afternoon with two games.
Munro and Campion will meet in a boys’ game starting at 1.30 p.m., followed by Alpha against Immaculate in a girls’ game at 2.30 p.m.
