Reggae Boy Eric Vernan will join United States Major League team DC United for a trial at a three-week training camp in Florida, starting February 18.
Vernan, a standout in last year’s Digicel Caribbean Championship that Jamaica won, was a member of the country’s Under-20 silver medal-winning team at the Pan Am Games in Brazil in 2007.
He was voted the Most Valuable Player in the Digicel Caribbean Championships.
The 21 year old Vernan played in Jamaica’s goalless draw against Nigeria in a friendly international on Wednesday in London.
National midfielder Wolry Wolfe is now in Hungary for trials with leading second division club Ferencvarosi.
