West Indies replies to England
West Indies, replying to England’s first innings total of 566 for nine declared, reached 55 for one at the close of the second day of the third Test at the Antigua Recreation Ground.
Captain Chris Gayle is the batsman back in the pavilion. James Anderson caught him off the bowling of Steve Harmison for 30.
The batsmen at the crease are Devon Smith on 10 and night watchman Darren Powell on two.
Earlier, Paul Collingwood scored 113, his eighth Test century to become the second centurion for England following Andrew Strauss 169.
Jerome Taylor, Fidel Edwards and Ryan Hinds finished with two wickets each.
West Indies lead the series which now comprises five Tests one-nil, following an innings and 23-run victory in the opening match at Kingston inside four days.
The other two Tests in the series take place at Kensington Oval in Barbados from February 26 to March two, and Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad from March six to 10.
