A High Court judge has granted leave to Opposition Leader Dr. Kenny Anthony to pursue a case against the St Lucia Government.

Dr. Anthony has accused Heath Minister Keith Mondesir of breaking the Customs and Excise laws.

The Opposition Leader is claiming that Mondesir used duty free concessions, intended for hotels, to furnish his private residence in Bonne Terre.

The opposition leader also alleges that Mondesir’s Cabinet colleagues are shielding him from possible prosecution.

The trial date has been set for Friday.
