Telecommunication firm Digicel today presented the Jamaica Netball Association (JNA) with one point two million dollars.

The presentation, which took place at Digicel’s head office in New Kingston, comes on the eve of the senior team’s departure for England.

Jamaica will face England in an international three-test series.

The series will open on Sunday at the O2 Arena in London.

The remaining games are set for Sky Dome in Coventry on February 24 and the Trent FM Arena in Nottingham on February 26.

JNA president Marva Bernard said the financial support from Digicel would send the team to England.

Jamaica and England have been very tightly matched rivals behind the world’s top two Australia and New Zealand in recent decades.

Shooter Simone Forbes will captain the Sunshine Girls for the Tri-Test series in England.

Forbes will have center court player Nadine Bryan as her deputy.

The other members of the squad are shooters -- Romelda Aikens, Christina Solomon and Venessa Walker; Centre Court – Sateva Taylor, Paula Thompson and Tracey-Ann Robinson and defenders Nicole Aiken, Althea Byfield, Sabina Spence and Malysha Kelly.

The other member of the traveling party are coach Connie Francis, assistant coach Annett Daley and manager Andrea Anthony.
