Harbour View defeat Village United

Harbour View defeated ninth-place Village United 1-0 at Harbour View Mini Stadium yesterday to join defending champions Portmore United atop the points’ standings of the Digicel Premier League.



Decoy Williams scored the winner in the 76th minute.



Portmore United, which entered yesterday’s start of the third round with a two-point lead, were held to a 1-all draw by eighth-place Rivoli United at Ferdie Park in a late game.



Valentine Gardener put Rivoli United ahead in the 38th minute, but Grenadian Anthony Modeste scored the equalizer for Portmore United with a 49th minute penalty.



Boys’ Town and Tivoli Gardens remained joint third on 39 points following defeats.



Tivoli Gardens suffered a shock 3-1 defeat to Meadhaven United at Edward Seaga Sports Complex; while Boys’ Town lost 1-0 to Arnett Gardens at Collie Smith Drive.



Sporting Central Academy outscored Reno 3-2 at Brancourt in Clarendon and Waterhouse blanked St Georges 2-nil at Drewsland Mini Stadium.
