Constitutional referendum

The Cayman Islands legislature is debating a bill for a new constitution for the British territory.
It has been suggested that the referendum be held on May 20, the same day as the general election for the Cayman Islands.
The reform proposals call for modernizing the territory’s constitution.
Several of Britain’s other Caribbean territories have had a review, or are now revising their constitutions.
