West Indies depart for Women’s World Cup

West Indies left the Caribbean last night for Australia where they will participate in the 2009 International Cricket Council Women’s World Cup.
West Indies open against South Africa on March 8 in a tough Group ‘A’ schedule.
The Caribbean team will also face title-holders and hosts Australia on March 10 and New Zealand on March 11.
Group ‘B’ will have India, England, Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
The top three teams in each group will advance to the Super Six stage.
