Oberlin maintain lead

Defending champions Oberlin High have strengthened their lead at the top of the table on today’s second and final day of the two-day Eastern Secondary Schools’ Sports Association Athletics Championships at the National Stadium.



After 38 finals, Oberlin High have moved to a combined total of 245 points, 54.5 ahead of second-place Glengoffe High on 190.5



Buff Bay on 179, Morant Bay on 174 and St Thomas Technical on 96 complete the top five.



In the individual standings, Oberlin High lead the girls’ section with 189 points ahead of Glengoffe on 128 point 5.



Morant Bay are ahead in the boys’ section with 82 points, followed by Buff Bay on 70, Glengoffe 62 and Oberlin on 56.



Yesterday’s first day, which was held at the Stadium East field, produced six records.
