The US Centre for Disease Control and Prevention has issued an advisory for travellers to Trinidad and Tobago to get vaccinated against yellow fever.
According to the CDC website, the advisory follows a report from the Trinidadian Health Ministry that two wild monkeys died from the disease.
The CDC said although there were no human related deaths, its concerned that yellow fever is in high circulation in a certain area.
However, the agency said there were no reported cases of human infections since 1979.
The CDC acknowledges that Trinidad has a 90 percent vaccination rate against yellow fever.
