The WICB has paid out US$1.5 million to the Trinidad and Tobago Local Organising Committee (LOC).
The money is for T&T share of profits from the Cricket World Cup last year.
Former Chief Executive Officer of the LOC, Anand Daniel revealed this yesterday.
The payment comes a week after a threat by Guyana’s President Bharrat Jagdeo, to sue the regional body for US$1 million owed to the Guyanese LOC, as its share in the profits.
A WICB official close to the situation said the delay in paying the Guyanese LOC came about because of a query.
The profit paid out to the LOC came from the sale of tickets, for venues in that particular country.
