Embattled investment swindler Bernard Madoff is expected to plead guilty later this week to 11 counts of money laundering and fraud charges.
According to one his lawyers, that could land him in prision for 150 years.
Prosecutors have insited that there will not be any plea deal for the 70 year old Madoff and that he will have to forfeit any money he made from his crimes.
Acting US attorney Lev Dassin said the filing of the charges does not end the matter as investigations are continuing.
Maydoff was running a giant Ponzzi scheme to defraud people.
