Virender Sehwag hammered an unbeaten 125 as India beat hosts New Zealand by 10 wickets today in a rain-affected match to win their one-day series 3-0 with one game remaining.

Brendon McCallum topscored with 77 as New Zealand amassed 270 for five off 47 overs. But Sehwag compiled the fastest one-day ton by an Indian, in 60 balls, to lift the tourists to 201 without loss when rain stopped play for a fifth and final time.

Sehwag hit six sixes and 14 fours, with Gautum Ghambir 63 before Duckworth-Lewis came into play after 23.3 overs.
