The International Cricket Council (ICC) proposed today to move this year\'s Champions Trophy to South Africa, the second venue shift after host Pakistan was dropped because of security concerns.

The ICC\'s chief executive committee decided against Sri Lanka as an alternative site because of the likelihood of rain during the eight-team competition scheduled for September 24 to October 5.

The ICC board is scheduled to make a final decision Monday.

Members also proposed holding the ICC World 20/20 from April 30 to May 16, 2010.

The tournament will take place in St. Lucia, Guyana, Barbados and St. Kitts.
