The St. Lucia government said it plans to review the process by which teachers are recruited.
Education minister, Arsene James said the review is now being done after a primary school teacher was suspended following allegations that he sent suggestive text messages to students.
At least seven girls, the oldest being 11 years old, are said to have received the messages on their mobile phones.
Mr. James said the case is now before the Teaching Service Commission.
