Bolt heads Jamaica international meet

Beijing Olympic triple gold medallist Jamaican Usain Bolt heads a list of five Olympic gold medallists who have been confirmed for the Jamaica International Invitational track and field meet.



The meet will take place at the National Stadium on Saturday, May 2.



The announcement was made at a press conference at the Sports Development Foundation yesterday.



The list includes three other Jamaican gold medallists at the Beijing Olympics.



They are 200-metre champion Veronica Campbell Brown, 400-metre hurdles champion Melaine Walker and Shelly-Ann Fraser, the winner of the women’s 100 metre gold medal.



The other Beijing Olympic gold medallists confirmed is American Dawn Harper, who won the women’s 100-metre hurdles



Americans Sanya Richards and Kerron Clement along with Trinidadian Richard Thompson are also expected to compete at the meet.
