Prime Minister Baldwin Spencer has called for Antiguans and Barbudans to put aside their political differences to allow the nation to heal after a long and bitter election campaign.
Addressing a national service of thanksgiving yesterday Spencer said it was time to continue the work of and for the people.
The United Progressive Party (UPP) led by Spencer, secured a second consecutive term as government.
It defeated the Antigua Labour Party (ALP) at last Thursday’s general election by winning nine of the 17 seats in parliament to the seven by the ALP and one by the Barbuda People’s Movement.
