Portmore United/Harbour View maintain lead
Reigning champions Portmore United and Harbour View recorded contrasting victories yesterday to maintain the lead in the Digicel Premier League.
Portmore United hammered Reno 3-0 at Ferdie Neita Park in a late game, while Harbour View clipped Rivoli United 1-0 at Harbour View Mini Stadium.
As a result of the victories both teams have moved to 53 points in the standings, still seven ahead of third place Boys Town, who edged fifth-place St Georges 2-1 at Collie Smith Drive.
Over at Edward Seaga Sports Complex, fourth place Tivoli Gardens defeated second-from-the-bottom Village United 4-1, while sixth place Waterhouse and 10th place Meadhaven United played to a 1-1 draw.
In the day’s other game, ninth place Sporting Central Academy and seventh place Arnett played to a goalless draw at Brancourt in Clarendon.
