Bomb blast kills eight

Eight people are now dead following a bomb attack at a bus depot on the outskirts of the Pakistani city of Rawalpindi.



The BBC reported that at least another 17 others were injured in the incident.



A number of cars and roadside were also destroyed in the explosion.



Rawalpindi police chief Nasir Khan Durrani said the attack appeared to be a suicide attempt.



The Interior Ministry chief, Rehman Malik, said the people who committed the act were trying to destabilise the country.
