West Indies chasing 271 to win

West Indies, chasing 271 to win the opening one-day international against England, were 100 for one after 25 overs at Providence Stadium in Guyana.,



The batsmen at the crease are opener Lendl Simmons on 42 and Ramnaresh Sarwan on 44. Skipper Chris Gayle is the batsman back in the pavilion. He was leg before wicket to pacer Stuart Broad for two with the score on six.



Earlier, Owais Shah 62 and Paul Collingwood 69 lifted England to a useful 270 for seven off their allotted 50 overs.
