Caribbean airline Winair is now cutting routes and laying off pilots in an effort to overcome its financial troubles.
Managing Director Edwin Hodge said that flights to Tortola and St Kitts and Nevis are to be cut, while flights to Dominica were suspended since March 1
Mr Hodge also said 12 pilots employed to the airline will be dismissed, citing the global economic crisis for the troubles of the St Maarten-based company.
Cuts to other routes are to be announced by the end of the month.
